On April 16th, Geek and RG exited the server, failing to persuade ULP moderation to act on their behalf and the persistence of the gamerspammers. RG became fed up with the shitposters, told them to send him their addresses to meet up for a fight. Red Garden was the one venting at Danov for something to be done, but pro-gamer users shitposted him that he was coping. While some still called it a form of shitposting, the mods were reluctant to do anything about it. More users complained to the mods that the over usage of the word was getting out of hand. Some mods who were more lenient towards the spammers tried to get them under control, and push them to #shitposting, which became the principle spam channel for gamerposting. The gamers started creating goals to achieve a higher record for how many gamer words were mentioned on the server. NGW agreed to disarm and move to shitposting to spam.įollowing the discussion in #General-Serious, Gamerposting was still prevalent in #General-Casual. Afterwards, Danov recommended to NGW that he should quit spamming the gamer word in the casual channels, which also supported by Obok. After awhile of discussion, Danov arrived in the chat to settle a matter about Older Pig, which led to his long gulag sentence for harassing Sun. Exu cautioned that this method never worked and fails. Geek threatened he'd leave the server if discussions were not centered around leftist debate, and continued to say that what the gamerspammers were doing was harassment.Īs the discussion went, some more seriousposters started calling for ban on fascists and other non leftists. In #General-Serious, Most of the users and mods try to tell Geek that saying the gamer word in a shitposting manner did not equal being a reactionary. He was echoing calls from many others in the past who have said the same thing, at a time when gamerposting didn't even exist. Geek continued to argue that the server did not need the increased culture of shitposting and gamerposting. While a conversation sparked on what to do with the shitposters, some like Exuviate recommended that they tone down their shitposting characteristics. Petros went into #pol-pot and expressed his outage and concern at NGW, and the other shitposters. The main complaints held by Omega and Gestalt was that quality discussion was thinning, and being turned over to the shitposters. While NGW didn't spam, Omega had enough of seeing the word continued to be used, and left the server. When Danov was in the chat in #general-casual, NGW continued to use the gamer word. While the conflict was solely involving spam, seriousposters were beginning to get fed up with the on-going spam of the gamer word. Geek saw the gamerspammers and was not having it with them, but this time, but the conflict escalated soon after. Mahuika took part and spammed the gamer word in the channel. The next day on April 11th, NGW called for another spam in #Pol-pot. The conflict ended afterwards, with JucheGang and Alpal gulaged for 24 hours by Petros. Geek criticized the gamerposters and became the principle anti-gamer in the chat, but was surrounded by the spammers. The first battle began putting into question the quality of ULP. This was the first battle of the Gamer War. Geekmasterflash was annoyed they spammed the channel, and others called out them for being annoying. The spam flooded the channel, annoying the users who were having a conversation. While things calmed down, what came worst was the sudden spam that began in #Pol-Pot by NeverGoWest, Alpal, and JucheGang, followed by additional spam in #Voice by VactionLeader Maestro mocked Alpal by telling him hes trying to be funny. The Gamer War began in #General-Casual, after MrAlpal started repeating the gamer word. 6 Tensions grow between ULP and Leftyband.
